Use butcher paper, news papers or paper bags taped together then adjust to the size and shape of the bathroom floor.
I would use newspapers taped together.

I agree with the others, or you could use Cardboard boxes taped together. Be sure to fix pattern to top surface of vinyl with tape, before cutting! Allow just a little for shrinkage or be prepared to add a hardwood strip should it shrink if not stuck down.
I've never made a patter but you could take butcher paper, tape it together, and use that. We always measure carefully.
