How can I grout a 42’ x3’ long pathway of stones so it’s permanent and I don’t have to do it with a grout bag between each stone?

Exterior - you need a mortar base.

For grouting, if you don’t want to use a grout bag, you can buy it in caulk gun tubes. You won’t like the price, unless you can buy it a jobber’s cost.

    Hello,

Visit you local DIY, and ask about DRY mix for pointing. The directions are on the bag. Brush in and let damp rise from the ground to bond it.

When we built a brick patio, we poured mortar mix in between (while dry) then swept any loose into cracks and then wet to let set.

Get polymeric sand. It can find it at home center. Pour the sand in the area and dampen with water. It will harden. We put it between stepping stones and no weds grow through it. All stones are still locked in place after 3 years.

    Hi,

Well, You could use a mortar mix that you brush in. Spread into the cracks, it will draw up the dampness in the soil and form a bond. Read the instructions on the bag for more information. Best wishes.
