How can I soften the light from my lawn's solar walkway lights?

I want a few lights in my yard to "light the way", but don't like the runway look. I've tried putting some landscape fabric inside the clear part of light, but still not softened enough. Suggestions?

Paint the glass with an opaque spray paint.
Put sone Hofstra between to cover some lights
Spray paint with semi transparent paint. Frosted or transparent Contact Paper. Wax paper taped to the outside.
Maybe the frosted spray paint on the clear part would work. I believe it is a Rustoleum product.
