How do I caulk a sliding door?

Hi Lyn, you can purchase some silicone caulking, get the clear stuff so it is less noticeable run some masking tape along the bottom rail to prevent getting any silicone on it, and run some masking tape along the gap on your floor to prevent the silicone from getting on your floor. Have a small plastic container with water in it, and some paper towels or rags that you can throw away. Start at the the side that is easiest to use your dominant hand, I am right handed and I start on the right, squeeze the silicone into the gap and fill it as you move along the gap all he way to the end. Once you have reached the end go back to the start, wet your long finger and run it along the silicone with a medium pressure to push it into the gap and make it look nice, let it set up for 24 hours and it should last for a long time, it should keep moisture out as well as any pests.

Can you attach a door sweep ? They can be found at hardware stores . Or even

stick on foam weather stripping might work . Good luck !!!
