How can we make over this patio on a low budget (pic)?
My daughters lanai is relatively small, prior owners kept laying cement in what is now 7 seperate portions to totally fill in patio area. We have small budget, cannot afford removal. What can we do? We live in Hawaii.

An outdoor area rug or two will cover the seams and draw attention away from the different materials. I have a list of cute inexpensive outdoor rugs if you're interested. https://jessicawellinginteriors.com/13-outdoor-rugs-under-150/
Outdoor rugs, astroturf, screed over with a thin layer of cement to make it all look like one pour. If you decide to put more cement on, you'll need to clean the concrete very well and use a binder on the existing cement so the new concrete will bond with it. Your new layer can be dyed, textured or pebbled.
Lastly, if possible, save up and call a cement but for a consult.
Not knowing what climate you live in, painting would be the least expensive but maybe not the most durable, I would consider building a wood platform deck over the patio keeping in mind the direction the door swings.
You can stain concrete. Maybe if it were all the same color it wouldn't bother her as much.
Rearrange the furniture to cover the worst part.
Outdoor rugs, or cover with pavers.
Concrete experts can also put a thin layer - wash over the existing patio. A neighbor of mine did this to a covered porch. It lasted for about 10 years, then crumbled, so a lot depends on how long they are staying in the house.
Fill all cracks with a concrete crack filler. Then resurface the slab.

Could you cover the patio floor with outdoor carpet...the one that looks like grass? That would be a quick fix until you want to resurface the patio floor. I had the grass-like carpet on my small patio....had about three rugs, not one big one, so that I could pick one up and hose it down when needed.
I would use those tile blocks from Amazon or Lowes or Home Depot and create nice floor, built trellis or get them ready ..some garden pots and solar lights and you are done
You can fill the cracks with a liquid concrete filler of caulking. Then clean and paint the entire patio with a porch and deck/concrete paint or epoxy coating.
Hi,
To make it look uniform, I would lay self levelling compound and then maybe paint it. Best wishes
Hi Barbaraj358, it's a blessing that you live in Hawaii, you can clean this concrete up and paint it a nice bright color, then put a nice contrasting outdoor carpet on it. By painting it, you will provide some continuity to make it look less chunky.

Clean and paint the concrete for a more cohesive look. Doing that will make the area appear larger and less "busy". Arrange the furniture pieces into specific areas, even if small (table & chairs for dining), other chairs in conversation area, etc. Some nice large pots with colorful plants will top it off! Great space to have for outdoor living in Hawaii L)
