Armadillos are nearly blind opportunists. There are a bunch of ways to help them find "greener pastures" to destroy. First: make your porch a place that isn't attractive. You obviously have a food source under there - they eat insects living under the ground. So, control crickets, grubs and the like, if possible. You can also fence off the area beneath the porch. Second: ask them to leave. Natural products to repel armadillos have castor oil in them. Look for that in your local nursery. If they've already set up residence, you may need a live trap to catch and relocate. DON'T be afraid of an armadillo. They only have a few teeth and, handling them as a zookeeper, I've never bitten. They are timid (unless diseased) so wear gloves if you have to handle one. Their nails can be long and sharp.
Throw mothballs underneath the porch. Animals won't go under there.
Hi Shirley, this is a great link for you to check out, it should help

I don’t mean to contradict anyone but, you may want to rethink the mothballs, while the armadillos will stay away because of the smell, you may as well. When temps get warm the balls put off a smell that’s not pleasant. If you don’t retain water under your porch, Red or cayenne pepper worked pretty well for me. Good luck
