How do I install veneer rocks to a foundation?
Has anyone applied veneer rocks to the foundation of their house? I spoke with a man working on someone's house, and he made it sound so simple, just use a thin mastic and let it happen. I know that some of these "rocks" come on panels, but I would rather not use them, as I think cutting the panels would be a problem. I would be using the "rocks" in a very cold winter climate and need to know if that makes a difference with the mastic. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Home Depot sells a caulking adhesive that should work tell them in the paint department what you need they will help you
If you are in a "very cold climate" in the winter - you have to really be sure the adhesive is going to work. If these end up half on and half off - it will look really bad. If you are unsure - just paint the foundation. Snow and a lot of moisture would require really good adhesive.
Use "Thinset" exterior Mortar, apply to foundation and to back of rocks then press them in place tampering with a rubber mallet. Do a section at a time so mortar doesn't dry out!
