T shirt fabric doesn't usually fray so it's perfect for cutting shorter or into tank tops. Add a design to the front for a modern look.
You should try making a V shape. Or, if you want to do something that has better quality, I would suggest you make different designs on them. Maybe you will even be able to sell them at some point, who knows. If you are interested in this subject, I would take a look at https://www.stahls.com/ since they have many different options. If you want to do it for fun, make sure that you are buying quality paint, since you don't want the model to wash away after a few wears. Try looking at different designs and try to do the same on your clothes. I am sure that you will get better at this!
