Cut 1 1/2 inch strips every one to two inches up the sides of the shirt. The cuts should be made perpendicular to the shirt's side seams, and should extend approximately 1 1/2 inches on either side of the seam. Cut as many strips up the sides of the shirt as you desire, but do not cut into the sleeves.

Hi Tina. Cut the hem all around the shirt, maybe 2 or 3 inches long and a half-inch apart. Then tie knots on the ends of all the strips. You can also do same thing with arm hems. You can even tie beads in the knots. Good luck.
I've cut one in a spiral starting at the hem (it was like peeling an Apple in one long strip).
