PVC Pipe Lights
Cut designs out of different sizes of PVC. You could even use a stencil for the cut outs. (Or stars and stripes). Put a solar light in them and they are ready to use. You could use them indoors or outdoors, and you can even hang them.

My son cut 6” lengths of pvc pipe, spray painted them black, drilled holes one inch from each end, then inserted strands of lights into the pipe pieces, two lights per piece, making the pieces almost next to each other. He used black tape to rejoin the pieces, then hung the lines and strands of lights in the lower branches of his trees. At our older grandson’s nighttime graduation party, the lights shone brightly but the pipes were invisible. It was an original and pretty amazing idea and cost very little. Maybe this gives you an idea. Jewell
