How can I build a coffee table out of washing machine drum?

What a cool idea!

You could first paint the drum and then mount large squares of plywood on the top and bottom. Trim them out with edge banding - like I did on this project - and give them a nice coat of paint or stain. Then add casters or feet to the bottom.

Take 4 pieces of 3by 3 wood.....however tall you want the legs, purchase nuts and bolts.....attach to the inside of the drum.....after pre drilling the holes in the wood.

then, take a piece of plywood, measure a round piece to put on top of the drum

as the table top. Varnish all the wood pieces. Now you have a space to keep extra pillows or blankets in the drum while the top works as a side table. Ms Ali
