How and what can I use to make a backsplash?

I found stick on tile slightly marlin for my stove and have used the plywood type wainscoting or bead board depending on where you are from they will give you a couple of free cuts then look for oops paint from habitat,ace or big stores. Then paint screw to wall and add inexpensive trim. Have fun shopping for bargains. I have spent from $15-$45.00

Depends on look you want and how much you want to spend. Ceramic tile is the first go to, but you can use beadboard, mirror, stainless steel, laminate....

So many possibilities! It mostly has to do with your taste and budget. Go to a Home Improvement Store. Walk down many aisles for ideas: grouted ceramic or plastic tiles; water-sealed plywood or hardwoods, slats, shipboard, lathes, paint stirrers, rulers, or synthetic woods; sheet vinyl like Linoleum; sheet metal like tin, copper, or knock-offs; weird things like paint sample cards, broken pottery, mirror tiles, Contact paper, and bottle caps. There are many more ideas. Find out what tools and supplies are needed and buy those when you get the backsplash you want. Consider what it will take to keep it clean and be prepared for that.
