Do I have to wax a chalk-painted upholstered lounge chair?
I have this lounge that has sentimental value but it seems better days and doesn't or didn't go with my place. I used chalk paint and tried to follow those youtube instructions. I love the look with the chalk paint on the upholsterd portion and wood. But I love the matte chalky finish and don't want to wax it - is that okay or will the paint come off of the upholstery. The chair isn't used a lot - like once a month maybe. Any advice is appreciated. I will try to google an answer (I used Behr Tin White chalk paint and roughly 2 to 1 with water.

I wouldn't wax it.
I would not, it does go soft over time and usage.
Waxing it will give it more of a leathery finish. But I do not think it's necessary to wax it. Totally your call.
I would apply a thinned coat of Rustoleum chalk paint clear coat. Eater it down like you did the chalk paint.
Hi Chris,
Rustoleum has a matte spray sealer which would protect the paint and still give you that matte finish. Hope that helps. Wishing you the best.
