Move your dining room furniture out and your studio furniture in! As simple as that! Not sure exactly what you want to know - decorating?
What kind of studio are you thinking? Craft studio? Workshop?
If it's an open floor plan, you can use free standing screens to divide from the other areas.
You could use book cases as dividers, so light still comes in. This would leave it more open.
Hi Sarah, hope this helps you out, Latex paint (and even other oil-based paint) can be successfully applied over older oil-based paint as long as the surface is fully cured and there is nothing inherent in the coating that prevents another layer of paint to be added
