Is there a product I can use to to eliminate garden pests from soil?

I would like to find any good ideas on how to control earwigs and squashbugs by killing overwintering eggs and insect. I know to clean up debris, but is there any product that I could work into the soil that would help?

The best way to do this at ground level, particularly around fruit trees and bushes, is to rake up and remove fallen leaves, before turning over the top few inches (5-10cm or so) of soil.

You can use a very safe. Food Grade product called, diatomaceous earth. It's product that kills several types of insects. It's comprised of dead coral, from dead/dry sea beds. It works really well
