If it’s carpet, then I would patch it with a piece stolen from inside a closet.

Sometimes the “burn” is really a tobacco stain from a butt that smoldered. Before doing anything drastic, and obviously based on the type of flooring, maybe you can take some whitening toothpaste and leave it on the spot overnight. Check periodically to ensure you don’t ruin the floor, but then use a stiff toothbrush or a scotchbrite scrubber to lightly rub the spit. I got cigarette burns out of a bathroom vanity top that way. I was left with one area that looked fuller than the rest of the counter because I had to get pretty aggressive to get it out. I used a spot of car wax on it and buffed. It still looked slightly different when you stood in one place in the bathroom but the improvement was so good I think if you didn’t know the “before” you would never notice the imperfection in the “after.”
