Can I use automotive rubbing compound to polish up a Cultured marble bathroom countertop? I don't need perfection just an makeover after 25 years. Not up for remodel.
Spray paint it or decoupage it with a fun pattern to match your decor, or both.
Take it outside, clean it, including the rust. If you can get it down past the rust to the metal, you will have a good surface to prime and paint. I use Rustoleum spray paint for projects like this. There are great colors, and use painter's tape and/or a stencil for a cute design.
Hi Patti,
Rub it down and paint it with Hammerite or Rustins paint for outside meta work or use metal primer and then gloss paint..
If you like the rusty look but not the rust. rub down gently and wipe over a wax sealer. Or you could clean it down and cover it with Contact paper.
Hi ! Rinse it off and use some steel wool to clean off the rust . Then spray paint it !
