How can I remove rust from wrought iron furniture so I can paint it?
I have a patio bench and a two seater w/table patio seat that I want to refresh by spray painting each. There are some rust spots on each. What’s the best way to prep these spots so they don’t return after being painted? Wire brush? After prepping, should I spray each piece with a primer and let dry before spraying on the paint color? Thanks.

Sand the rust off. Then use a goo primer before you paint.

Thanks Betsy. That’s the route I was planning on taking - just wanted to confirm I was headed down the right path. Appreciate your help!
Use a wire brush or sandpaper to remove the rust. Prime and then paint.
