How can I stop the birds from perching on my front porch railing?
I don't mind them perching, but when you have birds perching you also have a LOT OF POOP! It's nasty and definitely not welcoming.

One more idea would be to put up some pinwheels or whirlygigs to create pretty much constant movement. That will keep the birds from landing. Wishing you the best.
Stretch clear fishing line from post to post,about an 1.5 inches above the handrail. It has to be somewhat tight.
Try some wind chimes it might scare them on both sides of the steps
