Two methods I like are boric acid powder (you can find it at Amazon, some home stores), and Amdro brand ant baits. The boric acid you put under sinks, appliances, in crevices between floor and baseboard, etc. The baits come ready to use, just put them where you have seen ants.

Eliminating food and water sources are recommended. In Miami, I had a trail of ants from window, up wall, across ceiling, and into a cupboard where I kept cereal and flour. I discarded food and placed future food inside seal-able containers. Problem solved.
