Hello Rose,
What size is it and what size do you want it to be - that is the question! A belt might help!
Hi Rose, Is this shirt for a woman? My daughters and I do this all the time even with T-shirts. While you are wearing this large shirt, take a corner of the bottom of it around the hip and tie a corner with a hairband. It naturally gathers the T-shirt around the hips. You can also do this in the front.
You could tie it at the waist. Or just sew it.
You could fray check the edges and try permanent fabric glue, or just the glue if you are taking a tuck. Might work. I would try a sample first .
You can use no sew adhesive tape or use belt.
