How can I stop squirrels from damaging my garden?

    this year for the 1st time, I placed plastic forks (clear) around the flowers with the prongs squirrels touched the flowers.

    Hi Judith: Vegetables or flowers? You can get a spray bottle, about 16 ounces, fill it with water and pour in a 1/2 bottle of Oil of Clove. You can get this at any candy making store, bulk food store or your local grocer may have it in the candy making section. It costs about $2 and is about 2 inches tall. Sometimes it's called Clove Oil. Same thing. Mix this and spray on and around your plants. You may have to reapply after a rain. One taste and the critters will leave your stuff alone. It tastes horrible, smells great and won't harm them, they'll just be bummed:) If it's your veggies, I'd just spray the stems and/or stalks.
