Painting with chalk paint is great! Here is a tutorial that highlights using Country Chic chalk paint on a chair! Country Chic is one brand. I also like Annie Sloan, Rustolem Chalked Paint, and Fusion Mineral Paint.

When I go dark to light, after a careful prep, I use a white sealer before painting.
