Also, here is a video that uses ValSpar paint made for cabinets. I think this is a better paint to use vs chalk paint. It is more durable, it washes well, does not require a finish coat of wax or poly like chalk paint would (though you can poly over it if you want-I don't find it necessary).
chalk paint is not the best to use on high traffic furniture,cabinets unless you seal it with polyurethane but by the time you do all that it is cheaper much more cost effective to use good washable paint. Prep is the key to get any good painting job done.
