How can I make an ANT-PROOF pet food bowl?
I feed strays in my back yard and ants get the food before they do. I've tried placing bowl in a pan of water, the "ant proof" bowls from Amazon, everything. Nothing works. Can anyone help a pack of hungry stray cats? AND me? (they bite!)

Get rid of the ants by putting down corn meal. It will kill the invading colony as they take it back to the nest and the queen and all of them die.
Place a smaller bowl with food inside a larger bowl filled with an inch or so of water. The ants drown and the food stays ant free.
