Depending on the plants and type of bugs, I would start with spraying a little soapy water.
It depends on the plant and bug, but diatomaceous earth is usually very effective!

Hi Ed, hope this helps you. Grab a spray bottle. and add in about a tablespoon of olive oil, a little bit of dish soap, and then fill it up with water, give it a shake and boom! What you have right now is a homemade, natural, chemical free bug spray for your plants.
