How do I remove cloudiness from plexiglass?

My front door has a large piece of plexiglass in it that was here when we moved in. It is very cloudy. Can I get it cleared up??

It depends on whether the plexiglass is dirty or if something was used on it that made it cloudy. If it's dirt, clean with dishwashing soap and water, dabbing instead of rubbing so the plexiglass doesn't get scratched.
If it's because the wrong cleaner was used or because it's got a lot of tiny scratches, doityourself.com states that you can repair it with sanding and buffing. I personally would replace it, but the choice is yours. Wishing you the best.
