Good advice from Ann and Lynn. One consideration though...are they true hardwood floors, or laminate floors? Many people are in the habit of calling laminate floors ‘hardwood’. Deciding which they are will determine your options. If they are true hardwood you have options. If they are laminate your only option will be to replace the bad sections. With laminate, the wood look is so thin it can’t be sanded.
