How do I paint particle board floors?
Help !! I live in a mobile home.. carpet was old so we pulled it out and now I am left with particle board floors. I would love to paint them but don’t have a clue on the type of paint I would need. Please help me out! What kind of paint can I use that wouldn’t swell the particle board or chip ? Thanks so much !

Same as painting plywood floors. Priming to seal the floor. Kilz or Bullseye Sealcoat.

Go for it. Use a good quality floor or deck paint and use pads on the bottom of chairs and tables to keep from scratching the floor.

You should prime the floors first with a good primer. This will eliminate so much paint soaking into the chipboard. Use a separate primer--not a paint with primer in it. You can roll it on with a paint roller. You might want to do two coats. It will look ugly until your paint goes over it!
