How can I correct sticky water-based poly on a door?
I applied water based poly on the wood of a new slider door. One strip where the door hits when closed never really dried and is sticky. Any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking trying to remove it but with what. I thought maybe the wood isn't completely dried out. Husband says no way would a manufacturer do that. Any thoughts?

Use Denatured alcohol to wash off the water based poly. Sand clean the apply oil based poly.
Strip it back and re-poly.
Dry it with a fan and warm air, open, of course. Sand it smooth after the paint dries. If the weather is cold, seal the area with plastic first.
