Walls are all knotty pine and so are the cabinets. These are the only cabinets I have.
You can use an epoxy paint kit for that sold at Home Depot. It's a temporary fix, but one that last longer than other paints. Prep is very important. Step by step instructions are in the kit. Be careful with it, once scratched will peel.
You can try skim coating the counter and sink with featherex concrete: http://www.lovelyimperfection.com/diy-concrete-countertops-over-laminate-surfaces/
Mottled? Or molded? The molded plastic ones are not going to want to bond to a coating system with being really clean and I would even sand it, with 1000 wet or dry sand paper.
Yes, as Kelli points out, follow the directions to a T.
I would look into the Rustoleum countertop painting kits. If painting isn't what you're looking for you could consider resurfacing the entire countertop in concrete :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTj5a3NuX0Y
