In my kitchen I have a dual rod with sheers and curtains. I have lots of pets and are easy to wash when needed.
Curtains or drapes.
You could add a large rod with hoops or clips so the curtains will slide away in the day if you like. You could also use a textured or patterned film that sticks to the glass to let in light but obscure view. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/windows-doors/windows/vinyl-window-clings-for-privacy-31527465

I know it is not in vogue now but I still like drapes on a travis rod, especially if you use the door. Plus I live in NE PA and find that sliders (I have 4) are not especially good at keeping the cold out. So, we count on the drapes to help stop the transfer of heat and cold.
