You can wash wood, just dry quickly. To get rid of greasy build up wash down with hot soapy down water with a Terry cloth rag. Once clean then you can use Old English furniture polish.
Hi Joellen,
I'd use a mixture of vinegar and water or Murphy's Oil Soap, but be careful and make sure that it is 100% dry if you clean the inside. Otherwise you risk the humidor becoming too moist which can cause mold to grow. Wishing you the best.
Murphy's Oil Soap and some elbow grease - the more you rub the newer it will look. This also removes build up from wax on furniture. You can then coat it with Tung oil to rejuvenate and seal it so it would stay in good condition
