How do I remove black tar adhesive from wood flooring?
I took up my living room rug and found this black tar type glue under the ancient tiles, which were under the rug. What's the best, safest, and easiest way to remove this glue? Thanks in advance.

Hi Lori, the only thing that worked to get that gunk off of my floors was sanding it off and lots and lots of sand paper. it did work though!

You can use ice to freeze the tar or make it brittle and then gently use a plastic spoon to scrap or chip it off.
