The easiest formula I found is 1/3 cup of baking soda in 1 cup latex paint. It needs to be stirred a good bit for all the soda to dissolve, so it won't be grainy. Just take your time and stir patiently. It is the easiest and cheapest and will look just like store bought chalk paint. This is the one I use now.
