Wendell....Have you tried Barkeepers Friend?
Use barkeepers friend or fill the cookware with small amount of water and sprinkle baking soda lay over a dry sheets (the one you use in the dryer) Leave it for 30 minutes and wash it. This tip is amazing.
I also use Barkeepers Friend for cookware. If I don't have any on hand, I've use a combination of baking soda and vinegar.
