How can I convert a 13x10 room into a bath/utility room combination?

You absolutely can do both as it does look like a big room. Draw your map or if you are hiring a contractor have them draw you a map in at least three different styles. They get pretty smart working with people and can give you a great idea about your layout.

  • Most certainly can be accomplished. One thing to consider is your layout and running electricity, gas, water and sewer lines. You will need a contractor, permits will need to be pulled and inspections performed. Here is how to hire a contractor.

Go with a deep sink so you can use for clothes as well as normal bathroom use. Separate the utility items behind a curtain.

Sounds great! With a room that size, consider a closet/cabinet for towels, washcloths, and other bathroom supplies. A wall-mounted towel warmer would be a great addition, too!
