I use one of those swifter things that are flat on the bottem and just use some kind of cleaning solution and mop the walls and the ceilings. You mite want to use some bleach on the ceiling.
Vinegar water solution is what I use. For walls a car wash sponge. I also have an industrial swiffer type mop that I purchased at a restaurant supply in the janitorial section. It has removable pads that can be washed instead of tossed, so more environmentally friendly. I wash my walls often as it is dusty where I live and have lots of pets.
Ceiling are tricky if they are popcorn. Normally a vacuum can be used to remove dirt and cobwebs. A light detergent can be used. Last resort is to paint.
Magic Eraser is a favorite for some.
Depending on what’s on there, it may take something like a degreasing cleanser.
If the ceilings are flat ceiling paint, they may not be “scrubbable” and I would use a clear cleanser, not blue Dawn detergent.
