How can I color flag stone?
We have pinkish flagstone on our stairs and front porch. I want to stain or paint them grey. Has anyone done this with long lasting results that won't wear or wash away? Which products, what sort of prep and all that did you use. Thanks in advance.

Talk to the guys at the paint store. If you can take a piece of the flagstone in with you, do; or at least good closeup photos. If the flagstone is porous you should be able to use concrete stain and a sealer. You just spray on, mop/roll it to evenly coat, and let dry. If not porous, paint intended for porches should work.
Be careful, paint make may the stones slick when wet.

Paint a Concrete Floor With Faux Marble Tiles
Masonry dye/stain. Permeates, never peels, permanent.
It won't last. It will wear and peel off. Try brick stain.
