A curtain or a blind would be the easiest unless you went down the road of a block out film on the window.
Rabbitgoo cling is perfect. It applies with water and just "pinches" off. I ordered mine off Amazon.
For my daughters room, I thumb tacked a piece of fabric inside her window (you couldn't see the thumb tack). It was a quick fix for sunlight while we waited on window treatments to get installed.
Get some non-adhesive window film...... they make a reflective one that reflects light and heat in 4 colors - bronze, smoke, platinum, and blue on Amazon. There are also some nice stained glass ones too. You use water with a touch of dish soap and a squeegee to apply it. It removes easily. I have some thats been up for 15 years. I get mine on Amazon.... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=non-adhesive+window+film+and+heat+reflective&ref=nb_sb_noss
