Activated charcoal on newspaper will help. Wipe down with diluted white vinegar or OdoBan.
I use Simple Green to disinfect and deodorize most everything in my home. It is great! It also cuts the smells in kitchens after cooking fish etc. If disinfecting/deodorizing does not work, you can use those silica gel bags that come in shoes, purses and even over the counter pill bottles. We save them to put in any drawer that needs moisture absorbed etc. People used to make sachet bags to put in drawers and fill them with lavender and other oils, potpourri etc.
