Will plastic stones break or crack in severe weather?
I have plastic stepping steps in my garden. Do they break/crack in severe weather? Should I bring them in the garage for winter? Thanks so much!

Hi Nan,
What planing zone do you live in, that will give you an idea about how severe your winters are.
If it gets below freezing, I would seriously consider taking them in. It also depends on the strength of the plastic.
Unless you’ve more winter garden prep work to do, yes bring them in, or at least pick them up and turn them vertical and lean against the house.
I think you will be safe as long as they aren't stepped on or much weight put on them. We have some plastic underpinning that has held up perfectly for years in the severe weather.
I've never heard of plastic stepping stones so maybe they're resin? Unless they were designed for the low temps in your area you might need to store them for the winter.
