Can you give me tips for keeping leaves out of my gutters?
Does anyone have any experience with those Gutter covers (they’re supposed to keep leaves out so the gutters don’t get clogged). Installed by professionals. I guess if you’re lucky enough to live down south you may not have this problem. My house is very high and there’s no way I can do any type of prevention for this problem. In the past I bought those foam type pieces and put those in the gutters and they did a great job because they kept the leaves out but let the water drain through but that was on a lower area 🍁🍁🍁🍁 that I was able to reach ... and I was 5 years younger lol. Any tips on how to clean gutters as well please.

there is a product that I used for the gutters, it let the water into the trough and left the leaves get wind blown off the gutter, not hard to install.
It is a diy product.
Hi Maria,
We used some a gutter shield to keep out the leaves. It was similar to this one.

The problem that we had was that each spring when the trees shed their seeds, (You know, those twirly little things) they would fit through the holes and lodge inside the gutter. At first, you wouldn't even know they were there, but over time, they would break down into dirt, and suddenly we'd have mini trees in the gutters! Of course, they would die since there wasn't enough dirt to hold them, but they that would also turn into dirt (natural compost?) I'd recommend a different type. Maybe a friend could help you install them, but if not, I'd suggest getting several quotes from different providers for installation. Wishing you the best.
We have lots of leaves down South!!
Both Leaf Guard and Gutter Helmet are amazing products. Installed professionally, they guarantee no gutter cleaning, have long waranties, and as you age, provide peace of mind from cleaning gutters (particularly on 2 story homes).
