How do you cut corrugated tin?
I am wondering what is the best, safest way to cut corrugated tin roofing. I want to make as clean and straight a cut as possible. After cutting it, what is the best way (and what to use) to sand the edges so they aren't sharp? This will be new tin. Thank you.

The easiest way to make a straight nice cut on tin would be with an angle grinder. Tin snips work too but they're a pain in the butt especially if you're going against the ridges and not with them. Any kind of sand paper will work to take the burs off.
Very good site just for this:

An angle grinder with a metal cutting blade or a circular saw with a metal cutting blade. Coarse sandpaper to sand the edges smooth. 60 to 80 grit sandpaper would work.
This post is a great one for you.

Besides the obvious of a cutting pair of plyers (not ideal) there are two other options that I've used. One is an angle grinder that makes a pretty decent cut but you can rent an electric steel cutter that makes it really easy.
