When is the best time to trim overgrown shrubs?
My shrubs are overgrown and a trimmer wants to come over and trim them next month. Isn't it best to do that in the spring?

What shrubs do you have? Let that be your guide. Different plants have different needs. Just because the trimmer guy wants to come over and do an Edward Scissorhands whack and chop on your plants, it may not be the best for them. Improper pruning can actually kill your shrubs. Don't let someone take advantage of you, your hard earned money and possibly even killing your shrubs. Let us know what you have and we can help you out or just Google to find out when your plants should be trimmed or pruned.
