How can I cover a split box mattress?
My son has a queen size bed, but we had to use split bed springs. They look terrible. A normal box spring won't fit around a narrow corner so we can't use one.

Hi Cindy,
Here's a link talking about split box springs under the mattress. It suggests you could could cover it with a fitted sheet-that seems like a reasonable idea & some of the reasons for having a split box spring set-up, such as the situation your son has. Best to all of you:

Hi, Cindy!
I would also suggest a fitted sheet or maybe stapling decorative fabric around the edges. I hope this helps!
Just add a dust skirt. They make flat box pleated so it's not ruffled and more manly. Or a longer bed spread.
For $100 you can buy a folding platform “base” that has springs and you bolt the pieces together under the frame.
We have one too. I got a painters canvas drop cloth from Menard's (or Home Depot or Lowes). It was the 9 x 12 size I thing. It covers almost the entire thing, it is easy to wash and looks good but not frilly. I cut some off one end to make pillow shams but you don't have to. I guess I don't really show the length of it in these pictures but it is pretty long. https://michellejdesigns.com/budget-friendly-drop-cloth-bedspread-and-pillow-shams/
