Put them in a bucket of sand with some motor oil.
Hi Theresa. I'm Cindy. Make a paste with salt and lemon juice. Apply this paste on the rust and let it set for 15 mins. Then use a scouring pad to remove the rust. Then put your tools in a bucket of sand and they won't ever rust again.
If not to many plain coke cola in a bucket let sit for a few hrs if clean turn them up side down.

Once they are clean, I would wipe them down with WD40.
