Provided it's not load bearing (please be sure it's not) just start at the top breaking up the plaster with a small sledge. Once you get started, it's pretty easy. Then use a pry bar on the lathe. It is one of the dustiest jobs you will ever encounter, so wear a mask and use plastic sheeting taped to all door ways. Removing the wall is the easy part, the cleanup, no so much.

Generally they smash the plaster off the lath first and then use a sawsall to cut the lath before ripping it from the studs with a pry bar.
Clean up the plaster before you take down the lath. Much easier that way.
Make sure you have great respirators and filters on any vacuums you use to clean up to minimize dust spreading.
