This might work for a table for 2! You may have to adjust the height of the legs but it can be any size you want if you are handy with tools and figuring out sizes! It's a fairly simple build!

Farmhouse Entry Table
Hello Gwendolyn,,
Circle or Square base. round or square timber for centre leg. Secure leg to centre of base with Screws or nails or brackets. Then fit top (round or square) only larger than base, in same manner as base only in reverse. Paint or finish as desired. This is one way! If concerned make a mini version first.
Cut your top in any shape you like, then buy replacement legs.... they have a metal base to screw on to each of the 4 corners/quarters, then you screw the leg in. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=replacement+table+legs&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
