Hello. I would screen shot the cast - print up the photos - trim down the portraits and insert into clear glass balls. Alternatively they could be modge podged on paper mache rounds.
Go with Victorian style and period of WWI pieces.
Don't forget the pearls.
I'd do stands of pearls for garland, maybe do ornaments of tea cups, danishes, etc.
